BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music congratulates all its student and alumni winners in the 2020-21 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions District competition.
The Jacobs School has traditionally been represented by a robust group of winners in both the District and Encouragement Award categories, and the results from this year’s virtual competition are no different.
Competition districts follow each winner’s name below. District winners only will advance to the Regional round, starting Feb. 13 online.

While singers compete virtually from around the country in this year’s District and Regional Auditions, the May 9 National Semifinals and May 16 Grand Finals will be streamed live from New York, with the Finals held live on the Met stage.
The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions is a program designed to discover promising young opera singers and assist in the development of their careers. The Auditions take place in 39 districts and 12 regions throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
