Anita Hursh Cast Friends of Music Scholarship
The Cast Family established the Anita Hursh Cast Friends of Music Scholarship to honor and recognize the outstanding leadership and exceptional character of their wife and mother, Anita Hursh Cast.
Anita has shown unwavering commitment and energy in the quest for and support of excellence in music performance at the Jacobs School of Music. She has demonstrated her loyalty to the school's mission of excellence by her ongoing service to and participation with the Society of the Friends of Music as a Life Member. She continues her activities on the Board of Directors having held the position of President and Chairman of the Nominating Committee, with ongoing Executive Committee responsibilities. Anita has demonstrated leadership in fundraising efforts through the Society of the Friends of Music furthering the mission of the Jacobs School to provide quality music education.
In addition to her work for the Jacobs School, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Indianapolis International Violin Competition, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and the Indiana Endowment for the Arts, promoting music excellence in her community of Fort Wayne and around the state of Indiana.
The Jacobs School of Music is grateful for Anita's thoughtful support to its students. This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students majoring in performance.
