Instrument Acquisition Fund
The Instrument Acquisition Fund is used to acquire needed instruments for the Jacobs School of Music.
The Jacobs School of Music houses an extensive Instrument Rental Office, which allows its students to borrow instruments they may not have. The Instrument Rental Office serves as a crucial resource for the Jacobs School of Music and its students, as students often do not own auxiliary instruments, such as contrabassoons, english horns, or e-flat clarinets, that are common and required in orchestral playing. Having access to these instruments allows the Jacobs School of Music ensembles to freely perform and program works, as well as allowing its students to gain experience in playing instruments to which they normally would not have access.
A list of the instruments that are available at the Instrument Rental Office can be found here.
