IU Children's Choir Fund
The IU Children's Choir was founded in 1980 by Dr. Mary Goetze and Dr. Jean Sinor, professors of the IU Jacobs School of Music. Young people, through the choir, develop musical skills, self-expression, and personal growth, resulting in a lifelong appreciation of music. The four choirs of the program rehearse and perform throughout the school year, with some participating in IU Jacobs School of Music concerts and performances. By participating in the choirs, children learn how to read music, sing, and gain a foundational understanding of music history. Currently, the IU Children's Choir is directed by Brent Gault.
The IU Children's Choir Fund supports scholarships, choir trips, commissions of new choral works, and other projects.
