Welcome to the I.U. Children's Choir
January 8, 2013 -- April 20, 2013
Spring semester registration information is now available! Information about each of our choirs can be found by clicking the “Class Offerings” link on the left of this page. Clicking the “Calendar” heading will direct you to our tentative calendar for 2012-2013.
Placement sessions for all Spring ensembles will be held on Tuesday, January 15th from 4:30-6:00 at First Presbyterian Church, located at 221 E. 6th Street in downtown Bloomington. Singers do not need to bring anything prepared and will be heard in the order that they arrive. Placement sessions generally take 10-15 minutes.
*Children interested in First Voices (Kindergarten and First Grade) do not need to attend the placement sessions on the 28th, but should complete the on-line registration process (now available) in order to reserve a spot. There is a limit of approximately 12 singers per class for First Voices. Please contact Brent Gault before you register to see if space is available. (bgault@indiana.edu)
Founded in 1980 by Dr. Mary Goetze and Dr. Jean Sinor, the mission of the Indiana University Children's Choir is to teach young people to value and experience excellent singing through musical activities which develop skills, sharing, self-expression, and personal growth. This goal will result in a lifelong appreciation of fine music.
