Katie O'Brien is Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. With extensive experience in financial management, operations, and strategic planning within higher education, she oversees budgeting, financial planning, and administrative operations to support the school’s mission.

Previously, Katie served as the Director of Finance and Business Operations for the IU School of Medicine’s Bloomington campus, where she led financial strategy, business operations, HR oversight, and facility planning. Her expertise spans financial administration, compliance, grants management, and organizational leadership. She has also held key financial roles at Indiana University Libraries, the IU Budget Office, and IU Press.
