Ed Stochowicz Memorial Scholarship
Edward M. Stochowicz was an alumnus of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music class of 1956 with a degree in organ, having studied with Professor Ragatz. He earned his Masters Degree in Music at Teachers College, Columbia University, class of 1958. Stochowicz was a New Jersey public school teacher for 28 years during which time he held positions as Chairman ofthe Fine Arts Department and Band Director of Choral Music.
Mr. Stochowicz was as accomplished church organist and retired after almost 50 years of playing organ. His other fields of expertise included being a choir master for adult and children choirs and bell choirs.
The Edward Stochowicz Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the Jacobs School of Music who are studying organ.
