The Frances A. Brockman Scholarship in Music
Frances Brockman played trumpet in the marching band while working towards her Bachelor degree in chemistry at Butler University. She was a member of Tau Beta Sigma, the national honorary organization in support of college bands and its activities. Brockman was a chemist with Eli Lilly and Company, a global pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Indianapolis. Her generosity went far and wide with many organizations, including the Jacobs School of Music, receiving her support.
The Frances A. Brockman Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate and graduate music students.
