Gary J. and Kathy Z. Anderson Scholarship
Since 2008, the Jacobs School of Music is honored to annually award the Gary J. and Kathy Z. Anderson Scholarship to incoming freshmen who display impeccable musical talent. The Andersons are active supporters of the Jacobs School, bringing their wealth of knowledge and love of music. Dr. Gary Anderson completed his post-doctoral work at Indiana University studying medicine, and is currently a Senior Advisor of TL Ventures, a prestigious technology investment group in the venture capital industry. He has also worked as a cardiologist and Professor of Internal Medicine and Professor of Physiology and Biophysics at Hahnemann University (now known as Drexel University) School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Kathy Anderson earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from IU in 1971. Since then, she has served as a founder of the Pennsylvania Ballet board and as the president and director of the Brown County Playhouse in Nashville, Indiana.
The Jacobs School of Music is grateful for the Anderson's support for the School and its students.
