Jack and Stephany Dunfee Musical Arts Center Fund
Stephany Dunfee established the Jack and Stephany Dunfee Musical Arts Center Fund to honor her late husband, Jack C. Dunfee, Jr., and their shared love of music.
Jack Clinton Dunfee, Jr. was born on July 9, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 1956 with a BA in Government. He married Stephany Ann Miller in 1956 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dunfee served as a Pilot in the U.S. Air Force for three years before returning to IU to earn his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1962. He practiced law for 23 years as a partner in Barnes and Thornburg in South Bend.
Among his many interests were environmental issues, outdoor activities, military history, and music. Jack Dunfee passed away on March 10, 2009 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Stephany Dunfee graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. They both share a deep affection for the Jacobs School and many of its faculty and administrators.
The Jack and Stephany Dunfee Musical Arts Center Fund generously supports the operating costs associated with opera and ballet productions at the Indiana University Musical Arts Center. The Jacobs School is honored to receive the Dunfee's generosity and is grateful for their support of the School.
