Julia B. Brabson Memorial Fellowship
(est. 1990) Established by the Rho chapter of Tau Beta Sigma sorority and Dr. and Mrs. Brabson, the Julia B. Brabson Memorial Scholarship perpetuates the memory of Julia Brabson, an Indiana University music student killed in a car accident. Ms. Brabson was a 1984 graduate of Bloomington High School South and was a 1988 graduate of Bowdoin College in Maine. Because of her love for music and her desire to teach, Ms. Brabson returned to Bloomington to pursue a degree in music education at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She was a member of the Marching Hundred, and marched with the band during the 1989 season. Each year Tau Beta Sigma holds a benefit dance to raise funds for this scholarship.
The Julia Brabson Memorial Fellowship is designated to the benefit of students in a Jacobs School of Music band program who are graduate education or music education majors.
