Dakota Zerbe is adjunct lecturer in music in bands at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he directs the IU Color Guard of the Marching Hundred.

Zerbe garnered his experience from teaching local high school competitive programs from 2014 to 2024. He has extensive knowledge about launching a program, with plans for longevity in the sport. Prior to joining the Jacobs faculty and Marching Hundred staff, he continued his teaching and performing efforts with Elevate Performing Arts in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Zerbe has made his mark on state and national competitive circuits, with extensive results at the national level. He plans to continue these successes with IU Color Guard performance ensembles in the spring and fall semesters.
