Prepare for a career as a professional harpist

Join one of the largest—and best—harp programs in the world, and you’ll get the skills you need to succeed as a professional harpist.

We offer degrees at every level, including undergraduate, graduate, and diploma programs. You'll receive a comprehensive education in harp, including solo playing, ensemble playing, orchestral repertoire, opera, band, ballet, harp ensembles, and new music performances, as well as a strong emphasis on harp pedagogy.

Perform on a regular basis

As a harp major, you’re required to perform in two ensemble concerts each semester—but you may perform many times each year.

You can perform with the New Music Ensemble as well as the many orchestras and bands. You may also have the opportunity to perform as part of the opera and ballet season.

In addition, you’re encouraged to take part in ad hoc concerts with your fellow students.
