Music Theory AI Audition Request

For current IU Jacobs School of Music graduate students only

Deadline for audition requests: Friday, January 8, 2016

This form is only for current graduate students in the Jacobs School of Music who wish to be considered for an Associate Instructorship in music theory beginning in fall 2016.

Current IU undergraduates who are now applying for graduate programs should not use this form. Instead, those students should request a music theory AI audition when applying for the new degree program. If it is not possible to do so for some reason, please contact the chair of the music theory department.

If you have completed an AI audition previously and wish to be considered for a position again, please contact the chair of the music theory department. Repeat auditions will be at the discretion of the department.

Before requesting an AI audition, please read about the audition format and minimum requirements and click the button at the bottom of that page to acknowledge that you have read the description of the audition. Without that acknowledgment you will not be scheduled for an audition.

This form should be submitted by the deadline indicated above. After that date, please contact the chair of the music theory department.

After submitting this form, you will be contacted early in 2016 to schedule an audition in January, February, or early March. If you know that you will be unavailable during any part of that time, please indicate this in the comments below. If you are offered an audition time and decline it, it may not be possible to offer you another time. Most AI auditions take place during Jacobs School of Music audition weekends, but some current IU students may be auditioned at other times.
