BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Pacifica Quartet, the quartet-in-residence at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, has launched its first blog, "Conversations with the Pacifica Quartet."
The group will use the blog as an interactive and intimate platform to post compelling dialogue relevant to the work the members do as teachers and as part of a touring string quartet.
Pacifica plans to invite a colorful lineup of guest interviewers to chat with members of the ensemble, including current Jacobs School of Music students, chamber music industry leaders, concert presenters, music lovers and friends.
In addition, the quartet will interview people who are influential in its world, including mentors, former teachers, colleagues and collaborators.
The first set of blog entries features each quartet member answering the most frequently asked questions of them by students, followers and writers.
The blog, hosted by the Jacobs School of Music, can be found at http://blogs.music.indiana.edu/pacifica-quartet.
