Students who have matriculated at other institutions or individuals who wish to attend the Jacobs School of Music as a visiting student during the fall or spring semesters must complete the same application process required of degree applicants. Please refer to the application instructions that pertain to your situation.
In addition, visiting students should contact the teacher with whom they would like to study or the chair of the appropriate department. You must arrange for a faculty member to support your application. If you are applying for performance study, you must also have a faculty member agree to accept you into their studio. That faculty member must submit an email or letter to the Office of Music Admissions and Financial Aid (firstname.lastname@example.org) stating that he or she agrees to take you into their studio as a visiting student. This must be submitted before any admission decision will be made.
