Eric Lindsay brings several years of experience as a film composer in Hollywood to his position in the Music in General Studies program, where he currently teaches Music in Multimedia and Music for Film.
His music, which frequently explores style-synthesis and the reinterpretation of tradition, includes various approaches to concert music, opera, interactive electronics, sound installation, and mixed media. Its performers include the American Composers Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony, Cabrillo Festival Orchestra, eighth blackbird, Argento Ensemble, New York New Music Ensemble, and New Juilliard Ensemble, among many others.
