Due to the evolving novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and with the health and safety of our students and guests in mind, all in-person Pre-College and Summer Programs have been suspended from March 23 - July 31, 2020. Some of our programs will be offering alternative class options, such as live-stream or virtual instruction. Information regarding alternative class options will be posted on our website in the coming weeks. Please visit our website for updates.

If you have already registered for one of our programs, you will be contacted by the program director or the Office of Pre-College and Summer Programs regarding your options. If you have an immediate question, please contact us at musicsp@indiana.edu or 812-855-6025.

The Jacobs School of Music offers a wide variety of year-round music programs, summer academies and adult summer workshops.

Year-round programs feature ongoing music classes for children and  adults who reside in Bloomington and surrounding communities. Some programs run year-round, while other programs operate only during the school year.

Summer academies provide an opportunity for pre-college students to immerse themselves in their chosen discipline for several days or weeks with some of the finest music educators in the country.

Summer adult workshops feature both performance-oriented and teaching-oriented intensive study for college students and adults with world-renowned faculty and guest artists. Workshops range from several days to two weeks in length.
