Biography
Sarah Mahnken is adjunct lecturer in music in general studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
She is a PhD candidate in music theory at IU and is writing her dissertation about the relationships between parts in Shostakovich’s string quartets. Although her research has focused on Shostakovich, Sarah enjoys studying, listening to, and performing a variety of music. She plays the euphonium and piano as well as other instruments when she gets the chance. When she’s not teaching or studying, Sarah enjoys reading, doing puzzles, and being outdoors.
