Interruption of Study

While not required, it is helpful to inform the Music Graduate Office if you plan to take some time off from registration in your degree or diploma program, or if you decide not to finish your degree or diploma program at IU.

Before taking time off, please consider how the time away relates to the time limits for your program:

Time limits for master's programs

Time limits for doctoral programs

Time limits for diploma programs

Please complete this form and click the "Submit" button at the end. This information will be sent to the Music Graduate Office and will be placed in your student file. If your plans change for any reason (for example, if you don't take time off, or take more time off than you originally planned), please submit the form again.
