| 2007 SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL CHAMBER SERIES BEGINS! |
The Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio kicks off the IU Summer Music Festival this Sunday, after thrilling audiences worldwide for 30 years. Joseph Kalichstein, piano, joins IU faculty members Jaime Laredo, violin, and Sharon Robinson, cello, in the trio’s festival debut. Festival audiences can look forward to hearing several other acclaimed chamber music ensembles and soloists in Auer Hall, including the legendary Beaux Arts Trio (July 8-9), the American Chamber Players (June 19), the Penderecki Quartet (June 24 and 27), the Biava Quartet (June 18, 24, 29, July 5), André Watts (July 2, 3), and the Weiss-Kaplan-Newman Trio (July 12, 15). Three Indiana University Jacobs School of Music composition students and one alumnus have been named winners in the 55th Annual BMI Student Composer Awards. No other school or university had more than one winner.

7TH USA INTERNATIONAL HARP COMPETITION JULY 4–14 |
Virtuosic harp music will once again ring through recital halls on the Indiana University Bloomington campus, as the 7th USA International Harp Competition takes place July 4–14. The July 14 finals concert will take place at the MAC as part of the IU Summer Music Festival. Click here for more >>

The IU Summer Music Festival starts this Sunday, so mark your calendars to be sure and see this array of world-class events, which lasts until August 4. The Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson trio jump-starts the festival this Sunday and is followed by performances from the Biava Quartet, the American Chamber Players, solos pianists Ann Schein and Yong Hi Moon, and violinist Vilmos Szabadi with pianist Chih-Yi Chen later in the week.
