| DAVID DZUBAY WINS GUGGENHEIM FELLOWSHIP |
David Dzubay, professor and chairman of the Department of Composition at the IU Jacobs School of Music, is one of four IUB professors to have been named a 2007 Guggenheim Fellow. He is director of the New Music Ensemble and will use his award to further his work in music composition.

Don’t miss IU Opera Theater’s last show of the season: Madama Butterfly opens tonight, and tickets are going fast! All are welcome to attend Remembering Sarah Stevens: A Celebration of Her Life, this Sunday, with tributes from both IU and Bloomington community members. Later that day, enjoy Latin Grammy-winning pianist and composer Pablo Ziegler as he joins the Latin American Popular Music Ensemble. Feel the beat with the Percussion Ensemble followed by the Jazz Ensemble on Monday evening, then plan to catch the Concert and Symphonic Bands together Tuesday night, as well as the Concert Orchestra on Wednesday. Must-see events also include Jan Harrington’s farewell performance, with the Philharmonic Orchestra and Oratorio Chorus, on April 18, and Mary Goetze’s farewell performance, with the International Vocal Ensemble on April 21.
