IU NEW MUSIC ENSEMBLE PREPARES FOR EAST COAST TOUR

JACOBS SCHOOL OF MUSIC PULLS OUT THE STOPS FOR ARTSWEEK 2007

ArtsWeekThe Jacobs School of Music celebrates 2007 ArtsWeek with a rich variety of events that range from collaborations focusing on music, dance, and technology, through an "Informatics Philharmonic" experimental project, to the glorious opera "Arabella" by Richard Strauss, in addition to a host of orchestral, chamber, solo, and ensemble performances by guests, faculty, and students from near and far. Catemario Don’t miss opening weekend of IU Opera Theater’s production of the lush and romantic Arabella, before making way for the Pro Arte & Classical Orchestra and Orion String Quartet concerts on Sunday! Be sure to savor the rare treat of guest guitarist Edoardo Catemario in recital on Monday, followed by the Jazz Ensembles later in the evening. The Jazz Combo Concert will heat up Tuesday night and the Concert Orchestra will be Live & Free at the Mac on Wednesday. And you won’t want to miss the bevy of talent performing works by Don Freund Thursday night in a Faculty Composition Recital.
