IU MARCHING HUNDRED NAMED TOP COLLEGE BAND

Sudler Trophy The Indiana University Marching Hundred has been named the recipient of the 2007 Sudler Intercollegiate Marching Band Trophy, the nation's highest and most coveted award for college and university marching bands. The traveling trophy will be presented at an awards ceremony during halftime of IU's Homecoming football game against Penn State in October and will remain with the Marching Hundred for one year. JACOBS PERFORMS EARLY MUSIC IN CHICAGO

Pro ArteAs part of its ongoing commitment to present performances in the region, the IU Jacobs School of Music will sponsor a concert of choral works in the St. James Cathedral, Chicago, on February 18 at 4pm featuring Jacobs’ Pro Arte Singers and Classical Orchestra. The performance can also be heard for free in the Jacobs School’s Auer Hall on February 25 at 2pm. Click here for more >>

February is the perfect time to come inside and enjoy great music! This weekend is your last chance to catch Arlecchino and Too Many Sopranos, Friday and Saturday at 8pm in the MAC. Be part of the Brazilian Music Festival, as it continues with several events on Sunday and a very special Valentine concert on the 14 th! Enjoy the University Chorale and the Jazz Ensemble on Monday, followed by the Symphonic Choir and Concert and Symphonic Bands on Tuesday. Stay warm with your Valentine at the University Orchestra on Wednesday night, and mark your calendars for the Midwest Composers’ Symposium concerts coming up next weekend.
