| THE NAMING OF THE JACOBS SCHOOL OF MUSIC |
We cordially invite you to join us on February 24 at 4 pm in Auer Hall for a special naming concert for the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. This follows news on November 17, 2005, of a most remarkable gift bestowed upon the School of Music by Barbara and David Jacobs, which will be dedicated to undergraduate and graduate scholarships and to the support of school initiatives.

With IU Opera Theater’s world premiere of Ned Rorem’s Our Town only two weeks away (February 24), the excitement is building! As the centerpiece of Bloomington’s ArtsWeek 2006, this promises to be one of the most important productions to take place at the School of Music in its illustrious history.

| UPCOMING EVENTS |
Enjoy the first concert in the Jacobs Mozart celebration February 11 at 5pm in Auer Hall, when the University Singers, University Chorale, & University Orchestra join forces to present Mozart’s Mass in C Minor. Pro Arte and the Classical Orchestra continue the festivities February 12 at 2pm in Auer Hall with Mozart’s Requiem, repeating their program the following evening at 8pm in Auer. The Rostislav Dubinsky Memorial concert takes the Auer Hall stage February 12 at 8pm before David Baker swings into the MAC with the Jazz Ensemble February 13 at 8pm. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Carlos Montané, Charles Webb, and others as they present a recital of Cuban love songs February 14 at 7pm in Auer Hall, followed by the Wind Ensemble in the MAC at 8pm. These are just a few of the highlights in the fabulous array of events at the Jacobs School!
