Edward Auer Piano Workshop

Dates: June 4- June 14, 2015

We are happy and excited to welcome you to our 2015 Edward Auer Piano Workshop at the Jacobs School of Music!

NEW: Online Streaming!

For the first time, the Edward Auer Summer Piano Workshop will be streamed online! We're thrilled to be able to inspire you with the musical experience of these 11 days: the master classes, artist recitals, student performances and competitions (more than 30 hours altogether).

This means that we can welcome everybody in the whole world!

Concerto Competition

Our special project for this year will be a concerto competition. The winners will perform their concertos with orchestra under the baton of Arthur Fagen, the chair of the JSoM conducting department. There will be ample rehearsal time. It is thrilling for us to be able to offer this opportunity for young pianists to play a concerto under such excellent circumstances. Solo Repertoire

Besides the concerto competition, we will focus intensely on the solo repertoire that every participant will bring for study. There will be:

  • Guest Master Classes

  • Private Lessons

  • Guest Artist Recitals

  • Student Recitals

  • Parties and Gatherings

Entrance Auditions for JSoM

There will also be the chance to audition for entrance into the Jacobs School of Music. Accceptance would be for winter or autumn 2016. This is especially convenient for students who are coming from very far away.

  • Beethoven Concertos Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4.
