Edward Auer Summer Piano Workshop
How to Apply
Maximum of 40 participants (determined by recorded audition); unlimited number of auditors (no audition required).
This program does not offer scholarships. Only full payment will secure your position (a limited amount of merit-based scholarship aid is available for excpetionally promising applicants).
On-campus housing is available. See "Visiting" in the left menu for accommodation information.
Late applications will be accepted on the basis of available space.
There is a $200.00 cancellation fee for refunded tuition (this includes the $70 non-refundable registration fee).
Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

Pre-registration fee: $70
Participant tuition: $1500
Online Auditing Tuition:
Music Educators (please provide proof of educator status): $350
Auditor tuition: $700
Auditor 2-day Pass: $300
On-Campus housing (optional): $50/night (single occupancy-does not include meals or linens)*
*Any nights stayed in Willkie not indicated and paid for on the online registration will be charged directly to the participant (at the time of their stay) with a 12% additional tax.
Off-Campus housing is also available, but must be arranged by the participant.

No audition is required for Auditor applicants. Participant applicants must send a 15 minute recording (CD or DVD) of any repertoire. We are not responsible for late, damaged, or unreadable materials. - Recordings must be RECEIVED by the application deadline.
- Upon receipt of the audition CD/DVD and online pre-registration fee, participant applicants will be notified within 2 weeks whether they have been chosen as a participant or auditor.
Participants intending to enter the Chamber Music Competition and Solo Competition should submit their concerto choice in their application.
The Jacobs School of Music reserves the right to cancel a workshop if enrollment is not met. Participants will be informed 2 weeks before the start of the workshop and receive a full refund.
