Information for All Applicants
  • Maximum of 20 participants (determined by recorded audition); unlimited number of auditors (no audition required).

  • This program does not offer scholarships. Only full payment will secure your position (a limited amount of merit-based scholarship aid is available for excpetionally promising applicants).

  • On-campus housing is available. See "Visiting" in the left menu for accommodation information.

  • Late applications will be accepted on the basis of available space.

  • There is a $100.00 cancellation fee for refunded tuition.

  • Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

Audition Requirements

No audition is required for Auditor applicants. Participant applicants must send a 20 minute recording (CD or DVD) of any repertoire. We are not responsible for late, damaged, or unreadable materials. Mail materials only (no checks please, see your registration invoice for information on where to send a check) to:

  • Recordings must be RECEIVED by the application deadline, TBA.
  • Upon receipt of the audition CD/DVD and online pre-registration fee, participant applicants will be notified within 2 weeks whether they have been chosen as a participant or auditor.
  • Each accepted participant MUST prepare at least one Beethoven sonata for performance in Master Class.

The Jacobs School of Music reserves the right to cancel a workshop if enrollment is not met.  Participants will be informed 2 weeks before the start of the workshop and receive a full refund.
