Ed Stochowicz Memorial Scholarship

Edward M. Stochowicz was an alumnus if the Indiana University School of Music class of 1956 with a degree in organ music and studied with Professor Ragatz. He went on to earn his Masters Degree in Music at Teachers College, Columbia University, class of 1958. He was a New Jersey public school teacher for 28 years during which time he held positions as Chairman of Fine Arts Department, Band Director of Choral Music. Mr. Stochowicz was as accomplished church organist and retired after almost 50 years of playing organ. His other fields of expertise included choir master for adult and children choirs and bell choirs

The Edward Stochowicz Memorial Scholarship is given out to students enrolled in the Jacobs School of Music who are studying organ.
