Dean Gwyn RichardsGwyn Richards, Dean
Gwyn Richards was appointed dean in 2001, having served as interim dean since 1999. Dean Richards has two music degrees from the University of Michigan. His field is choral conducting, and he is a tenured professor in that department.

Eugene O'Brien, Executive Associate Dean
Prior to being appointed Executive Associate Dean in 2002, Dean O'Brien-an accomplished composer and member of the New Music Ensemble-served as the School of Music's Associate Dean for Instruction. Dean O´Brien is a tenured professor in the composition department, has received many prestigious awards and honors, and has had numerous compositions published and recorded.

Mary Wennerstrom, Associate Dean for Instruction
Mary Wennerstrom, former chair of the Department of Music Theory, was appointed Associate Dean for Instruction in 2002. Dean Wennerstrom is a tenured professor in the music theory department, has received several teaching and service awards, and has published numerous books, articles and reviews.
