University Graduate School Awards and Grants - Jacobs School of Music deadlines and procedures
The University Graduate School has multiple awards and grants that students can apply for during their time as a graduate student. If you are interested in any of those awards or grants, please note the following JSoM deadlines and procedures. (Details on the specific awards and application materials can be found here).
Educational Opportunity Fellowship: You apply for this fellowship through the Music Financial Aid office. The deadline to submit all application materials to the Music Financial Aid office (in MU101) is January 18, 2013.
Esther L. Kinsley Master's Thesis Award: In order to apply for this award, you must be nominated by your major field department. The deadline for departmental nominations to the Music Graduate Office is September 7, 2012. If you are nominated, the Music Graduate Office will notify you, and you must submit your completed application to the the Music Graduate Office by September 21, 2012.
Esther L. Kinsley PhD Dissertation Award: In order to apply for this award, you must be nominated by your major field department. The deadline for departmental nominations to the Music Graduate Office is January 4, 2013. If you are nominated, the Music Graduate Office will notify you, and you must submit your completed application to the the Music Graduate Office by January 18, 2013.
Grant-in-Aid of Doctoral Research (fall): The fall deadline to submit all application materials to the Music Graduate Office for this grant is September 28, 2012.
Grant-in-Aid of Doctoral Research (spring): The spring deadline to submit all application materials to the Music Graduate Office for this grant is February 1, 2013.
The Irving and Shirley Brand Graduate Fellowship: The deadline to submit all application materials to the Music Graduate Office for this fellowship is April 12, 2013
John H. Edwards Fellowship: In order to apply for this award, you must be nominated by the Jacobs School of Music. If you are nominated, the Music Graduate Office will notify you in mid-January, and you must submit your completed application to the Music Graduate Office by February 1, 2013.
The Wells Graduate Fellowship: In order to apply for this award, you must be nominated by the Jacobs School of Music. If you are nominated, the Music Graduate Office will notify you in late October, and you must submit your completed application to the Music Graduate Office by November 16, 2012.
