Application Procedures
Internal Undergraduate Applicants
This application is designed for current undergraduate music students who wish to apply to a new undergraduate music degree program. For example: BM to BME, BME to BM, BSOF to BM or BME. Current University Division students or applicants from other majors within IU will need to contact the Jacobs School of Music Office of Admissions and Financial Aid for application instructions.
Step 1
Complete the Internal Undergraduate Application Form (PDF)
Step 2
Compose a short paragraph explaining why you are applying to a new program in the Jacobs School of Music
Step 3
Arrange for a written letter of support from your major teacher or advisor to be sent to the Jacobs School of Music Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. This can also be emailed to musicadm@indiana.edu.
Step 4
Arrange for a written letter of support from your department chair to be sent to the Jacobs School of Music Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. This can also be emailed to musicadm@indiana.edu.
Step 5
Complete an audition/interview for the new program. All auditions must be completed by the final audition weekend, March 1-2, 2013.
